Beethoven, Brahms, Bartok and Blacher

At the very end of February one of the Latvian music pearls will visit Rezekne – chamber orchestra “Sinfonietta Rīga”, this time accompanied by excellent German violinist Kolja Blacher.

Almost a decade of violin playing in Berliner Philharmoniker by leadership of Claudio Abado as well as the first violin position in the orchestra of Lucerna festival, Kolja Blacher enchants the audience with unforgettable, finely developed tone and sharply observant interpretation. The name of his stage partner Stradivarius violin “Triton” encourages us to look in direction of 20th century, but Blacher`s element is rather the romantic music of 19th century that is included in the program with a noticeable  accent of German. From Ludwig van Beethoven bellicose Coriolan to enthusiastically cantilen Romance. This involves one of the most colorful and melodic opus by Johannes Brahms and develops up to lush lively 'divertissements' in concert finale by Bela Bartók.

Chamber orchestra “Sinfonietta Rīga” under the guidance of the conductor Normunds Šnē is a dear guest in the Embassy of Latgale GORS. With the chamber orchestra`s quartet the other option of the Big Hall was revealed – the possibility of recording the professional music.

Concert tickets are available at the ticket office of the Embassy of Latgale GORS and “Bilešu paradīze” as well as online: http://www.bilesuparadize.lv/events/perf/8901.
